The Deputy Speaker received a detailed briefing from Captain Ashfaq Ashraf, Sergeant-at-Arms of the National Assembly, regarding the arrangements related to security, parking, and other miscellaneous matters in Parliament Lodges.
The Deputy Speaker was informed that following his instructions, all vehicles parked at the porches/entrances and exits of all blocks in Parliament Lodges have been removed.
Members of the National Assembly had requested that action be taken regarding the improper parking of vehicles in the porches of various blocks of Parliament Lodges during the National Assembly session.
On the directive of the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Deputy Speaker promptly took notice of the complaints raised by the members of the National Assembly.
The Deputy Speaker visited Parliament Lodges and issued immediate instructions to clear the porches/entrances and exits of the members' blocks.
The Deputy Speaker also directed the CDA (Capital Development Authority) to immediately construct additional parking spaces in Parliament Lodges.
The Deputy Speaker also conducted a detailed visit to the "Constitution Monument" and reviewed the construction work.
He inspected various parts of the monument and met with the staff present there.
The Deputy Speaker instructed the concerned authorities to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of this historic site.
"The Constitution Monument is a national asset, and every possible measure will be taken to protect it," said the Deputy Speaker.
He also emphasized ensuring the security of the Constitution Monument so that visitors can enjoy a safe and peaceful environment.
