Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated that any killing is unacceptable, and Pakistan is responsible for ensuring the protection of its citizens. She described the Iranian statement on Parachinar as unnecessary, as it does not cover the full situation there.
In her weekly press briefing, Baloch mentioned that Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar visited Iran, where he attended the inauguration of Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian and conveyed congratulatory messages to the Iranian leadership. She condemned Israel's aggression in the region and its attacks on Lebanon, calling them clear violations of international laws, UN resolutions, and Lebanon's sovereignty. She also criticized Israel's dangerous aggression, stating it threatens regional peace, and labeled the killing of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh as Israeli aggression. She condemned the killing, offered condolences to Haniyeh's family, and called for action against those responsible, warning that Israel's new adventurism could escalate the conflict.
Baloch noted that next Monday marks a dark anniversary for Jammu and Kashmir, as August 5, 2019, saw India unilaterally and unlawfully alter Jammu and Kashmir's status. Pakistan will continue its political and moral support for the Kashmiri people.
She also mentioned that recent UN Security Council reports confirm Pakistan's claims that TTP (Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan) receives support and training from within Afghanistan. She urged Afghanistan to take action against terrorist groups.
Regarding the attack on a UN vehicle in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Baloch emphasized that protecting foreign tourists, businesspeople, and diplomats is Pakistan's responsibility.
