Capital Police apprehended 24 outlaws from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours

Capital Police apprehended 24 outlaws from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a public relations officer said.

He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.

Following these directions, the Kohsar police team arrested an accused namely Amir Shahzad and recovered 1175 gram hashish from his possession. The Karachi Company police team arrested two accused namely Raza Masih and Salman and recovered 52 bottles of liquor from their Possession.

Likewise, the Sangjani police team arrested an accused namely Abbas Khan and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his Possession. The Industrial Area police team arrested an accused namely Kausar Ali and recovered one dagger from his possession.

Similarly, the Sabzi Mandi police team arrested two accused namely Wajahat Khan and Bilal Khan involved in illegally refilling gas cylinders. The Khanna police team arrested  an accused namely Muhammad Fayyaz  and recovered 560 gram hashish from his possession, while the police team also arrested two accused namely Muhammad Azeem and Zahid Khan involved in illegal petro selling.

Moreover, the Koral police team arrested an accused namely Sohail Khaliq and Baber Ali and recovered 1570 gram heroin from their possession. The Kirpa police team arrested an accused named Abdul Wahab involved in illegal gas cylinder refilling.

Furthermore, the Sihala police team arrested two accused namely Muhammad Abbas and Waqas and recovered two 30 bore pistols from their possession, while the police team arrested an accused namely Makhan Khan involved in  illegally selling petrol.

Cases have been registeed against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. During the crackdown against proclaimed offenders and absconders, the Islamabad Police teams arrested 10 absconders and target offenders from various areas of the city.

DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza directed the police officials to further intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard”.

Citizens are urged to cooperate with police and report any suspicious activity or information through the emergency helpline "Pucar-15" or via the "ICT-15" app for immediate assistance.
