Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar participated in the prayer.
Federal ministers, former Speaker of the National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Barrister Gohar, members of parliament, senior officers of the National Assembly and Senate, staff members, and media representatives also participated in large numbers.

The funeral prayer in absentia was led by the Khateeb of the Parliament House Mosque, Mufti Ahmad Rehman.
Afterward, prayers were made to elevate the ranks of Martyr Ismail Haniyeh in the hereafter, and for Allah Almighty to grant patience to Ismail Haniyeh's family and the Palestinian people to bear this irreparable loss.
On this occasion, special prayers were also made for the freedom of Palestine, an end to the suffering faced by the Palestinian people, and for unity and solidarity within the Muslim Ummah.
