The recent improvement in economic indicators is highly encouraging, said the Prime Minister during the meeting. Last month, for the first time in several years, the inflation rate fell to single digits, according to the Prime Minister. The State Bank's decision to cut the policy rate by 2% has further boosted investor confidence in the Pakistani economy, he added. Today, there was another reduction in the prices of petroleum products, which reflects the government's ongoing efforts to provide relief to the public. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to Allah for the gradual signs of improvement in the country and the nation due to His blessings. Discussion on Proposed Constitutional Amendment The meeting included a detailed discussion on the proposed constitutional amendment. There was a focus on broadening consultations regarding the proposed amendment. The Prime Minister emphasized that amending the Constitution and enacting legislation are parliamentary responsibilities, with Parliament being the supreme institution. He noted that the 240 million citizens have given Parliament the mandate to legislate. The objective of the proposed constitutional amendment is to ensure the prompt and effective delivery of justice to the public. The Prime Minister assured that consultations with all political parties regarding the constitutional amendment will continue. It was agreed that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other senior PPP leaders would also contribute to the consultation process.

The meeting also covered the overall and political situation of the country. Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, and Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ataullah Tarar were present at the meeting.
