Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Assembly Members and Officials Visit Parliament / Meeting with Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq
During their visit, the members and officials had a meeting with Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
"I welcome all distinguished guests to Parliament," stated the Speaker of the National Assembly.
"The expertise of members in parliamentary affairs is essential for strengthening democracy and serving the public," the Speaker emphasized.
"This workshop provides an excellent opportunity for assembly members to observe various aspects of the parliamentary process," he added.
"The working relationship between the national and provincial assemblies will strengthen the federation," the Speaker noted.
"I hope that the initiatives taken by the National Assembly for women and SDGs will also benefit other assemblies," he expressed.
"I spoke about the Charter of Parliament," the Speaker mentioned.
"Political differences aside, there should be no disrespect towards anyone," he stated.
Participants praised the Speaker of the National Assembly for his efforts to reduce political tensions in the current political climate.
More than twenty members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Assembly are currently in Islamabad for a three-day workshop organized by the Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services.
The visit to Parliament is part of the House and Committee Business Workshop.
During the visit, the Legal Advisor of the National Assembly provided valuable briefings to the distinguished members and officials regarding Parliament and House and Committee Business.
