NADRA Dismisses 151 Officers Involved in Illegal Activities
Twenty Assistant Directors and one Deputy Director were terminated for allegedly issuing fake identity cards, while one Deputy Director and 11 Assistant Directors were dismissed due to repeated absences.

In a significant crackdown over the past five years, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has taken strict action against illegal activities, particularly the issuance of fake identity cards and the unauthorized leak of family trees.
According to a report by Sameera Raja from Suno News, a total of 151 officers have been dismissed from their positions, while 82 officers, including a chairman, have resigned.
Documents reveal that the dismissed officers include high-ranking officials, such as 3 Director Generals, 6 Directors, 13 Deputy Directors, and 42 Assistant Directors. Additionally, 86 other employees have also been removed for their involvement in illegal activities.

The documents also disclosed that three officers, including two Assistant Directors and one Director, were fired for the illegal disclosure of family trees. In another case, Assistant Director Naim Akhtar Bhatti was dismissed for using a fake degree.
Furthermore, three NADRA Directors were removed from their positions before the expiration of their contracts due to involvement in illegal activities. These actions within NADRA aim to purify the organization from illegal practices and ensure the transparency of its systems.
This stringent response from NADRA reflects its commitment to upholding the performance and ethics of its officers, while taking all necessary measures to safeguard the country's critical identity database.
