Seven Laborers Killed in Panjgur Shooting Speaker and Deputy Speaker Express Concern

In a tragic incident in the Panjgur district of Balochistan, armed individuals entered a house and opened fire, resulting in the deaths of seven laborers and injuries to two others. This attack occurred in the Khuda Badhan area, where terrorists from the banned Balochistan Liberation Army targeted innocent workers. The deceased laborers were from Punjab and were engaged in local construction work.
Police Action
The police have registered a case against unknown assailants at the CTD police station in Panjgur. The case includes charges under the Anti-Terrorism Act, murder, and attempted murder. The victims have been identified as Sajid, Fayyaz, Khalid, Shafiq, Iftikhar, Salman, and Bilal.
Bodies Sent to Hometown
Following the incident, the bodies of the deceased laborers were transported from the hospital to the airport by ambulance and then sent to their hometown of Multan via helicopter. This operation was supervised by Deputy Commissioner Zahid Ahmed Lango, the DPO, and SP Panjgur Syed Fazal Shah.
Security Measures
The Deputy Commissioner has instructed construction companies and labor contractors to immediately register non-local laborers. He warned that any local resident allowing unregistered laborers to stay at their property would face legal action.
National Leaders' Reaction
The Speaker of the National Assembly, Ayaz Sadiq, and the Deputy Speaker expressed their sorrow over the incident and called for strong action against the terrorists. This event highlights ongoing security issues in Balochistan and underscores the need for urgent government intervention.
