Islamabad: Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar responded on Monday to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) decision to boycott the All-Parties Conference (APC) held in solidarity with Palestine. The APC was convened to discuss Israeli atrocities against Palestinians and express Pakistan's united stance on the issue.
Commenting on PTI’s absence, Tarar said, "It would have been good if the PTI had attended the APC meeting. We had also invited the PTI to participate." He emphasized that the meeting carried a significant message of unity and solidarity with Palestine on behalf of the entire nation.
Tarar added that, with the exception of just two parties, all political groups had participated in the APC, demonstrating widespread national consensus on the matter. He announced that a working group would be established to represent Pakistan's stance on Palestine by engaging with different countries and raising awareness of the ongoing violence.
"The APC was not summoned for political reasons," Tarar clarified. "Its sole purpose was to address the atrocities and violence occurring in Palestine." He further highlighted the collaboration between the president and the prime minister in organizing this historic event, which, he said, has made its mark by sending a strong message of solidarity with the Palestinian people.
