Interior Minister Briefs PM on Latest Situation in Islamabad

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to discuss the latest situation in Islamabad.
The interior minister briefed the Prime Minister on the law and order situation in the capital. The Prime Minister praised the efforts of the Interior Minister, Islamabad administration, and Islamabad police in maintaining control over the security situation.
"The Islamabad police played a stellar role in thwarting the attempt to storm the capital. The armed forces, Punjab police, and Rangers also played a key role in maintaining peace and security in Islamabad," the Prime Minister said.
He added, "Constable Hameed Shah embraced martyrdom while protecting the lives and property of the public. May Allah elevate the status of the martyr. The nation will always remember this sacrifice."
The Prime Minister expressed his solidarity with the family of the martyred constable and instructed that all necessary arrangements be made for the well-being of the family.
He emphasized, "The safety of Islamabad's citizens was ensured. The situation is quickly returning to normal. Economic progress and prosperity remain our top priority."
Referring to political opposition, PM Shehbaz Sharif stated, "Our political opponents cannot tolerate the improvement in Pakistan’s economy. The world acknowledges Pakistan's economic policies, but political opponents seek to hinder our progress."
"We will not allow anyone to unlawfully destabilize Pakistan's economy. The upcoming international events in Pakistan will proceed as scheduled," the Prime Minister asserted.
He further highlighted that "the best and highest standards of security arrangements are being made, and we are fully focused on ensuring that."
Interior Minister Updates on Traffic and Prisoner Repatriation
The Interior Minister informed the Prime Minister that important roads in Islamabad have been reopened for traffic, and the situation is quickly returning to normal.
The minister also briefed the Prime Minister about the repatriation of 56 Pakistani prisoners from Sri Lanka, who are set to arrive in Pakistan today. Federal Minister for Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan will cover all the expenses of their return, as confirmed by the Interior Minister.
The Prime Minister praised the efforts of the interior minister and the privatization minister for bringing back the Pakistani prisoners from Sri Lanka.
