Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq remarked that October 27 will always be remembered as a Black Day in history.

"Today is a day to expose the illegitimate occupation of Kashmir and the atrocities inflicted upon the people of occupied Kashmir," stated the Speaker.

The right to self-determination is a fundamental right of the people of occupied Kashmir, emphasized the Speaker.

"The people of Jammu and Kashmir have made countless sacrifices in their quest for self-determination," said the Speaker.

"India’s efforts to suppress the Kashmiris' right to self-determination through violence and oppression have failed," stated the Speaker.

The Speaker also highlighted that the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir rejected India’s constitutional changes and fake elections.

The entire Pakistani nation stands in solidarity with the Kashmiri people and their right to self-determination, said the Speaker.

"The Kashmir issue remains an unresolved agenda from the partition of India and Pakistan," the Speaker said.

For lasting peace in the region, resolving the Kashmir issue in line with UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people is essential, the Speaker urged.

Pakistan will continue to support the Kashmiri people’s cause on international and regional platforms—politically, diplomatically, and morally, assured the Speaker.

The people of occupied Kashmir have endured state-sponsored terrorism for over seven decades, the Speaker lamented.

India’s alteration of Jammu and Kashmir’s status on August 5, 2019, violated international laws, the Speaker stated.

The Speaker called on India to revoke the illegal measures of August 5 and cease human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.

He also urged the international community to take decisive action on the issues of Kashmir and Palestine.

"I pay tribute to the heroes of the Kashmir freedom movement," said the Speaker, adding that they will always be remembered in history.
