Islamabad: On the occasion of the International Day Against Breast Cancer, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq delivered a message emphasizing the importance of raising awareness about breast cancer, which poses a serious threat to women's health globally, including in Pakistan.
The Speaker highlighted that breast cancer is the leading cause of death among women in developing countries. He stressed the need for early diagnosis and access to medical facilities, noting that media plays a crucial role in raising awareness. He urged women to undergo regular medical check-ups and encouraged coordinated efforts at both governmental and social levels to combat the disease.
The Speaker affirmed that the National Assembly will continue supporting policy-making and awareness campaigns for the prevention and treatment of breast cancer.
