Islamabad – (Daily Watts News) Preparations have begun for the oath-taking ceremony of Justice Yahya Afridi as the new Chief Justice of Pakistan. According to sources, the Presidency has approached the Supreme Court and requested the list of guests for the event. It is expected that between 250 to 300 guests will attend the ceremony.
Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa will retire on Friday, 25 October. The President has officially approved the appointment of Justice Yahya Afridi as the new Chief Justice of Pakistan. Yesterday, the special committee of Parliament recommended Justice Afridi for the role of Chief Justice.
