Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad today, where he met with the Ambassador of China to Pakistan, His Excellency Jiang Zedong.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his deep sorrow over the recent terrorist attack on a Chinese convoy in Karachi, stating, "We are deeply saddened by the loss of Chinese lives in this incident."

He further emphasized, "The government is fully mobilized to identify those responsible for this act of terrorism, and they will be brought to justice as soon as possible."

The Prime Minister declared, "The protection of our Chinese brothers' lives and property in Pakistan is our top priority." He made it clear that "this heinous conspiracy to damage Pakistan-China relations will not be tolerated."

He also committed to overseeing the investigation personally, saying, "I will personally supervise the investigation into this incident, and security arrangements for foreigners will be further strengthened."

Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zedong expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for the immediate response and initiation of investigations following the terrorist incident. He expressed confidence in the Pakistani government's effective investigation, prompt identification of the responsible terrorists, and their swift punishment.
