Islamabad – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif chaired a meeting of the federal cabinet today at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad.
Key decisions made during the meeting include:
Approval for Relief Fund: The cabinet approved the establishment of the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for Palestine and Lebanon, aimed at aiding victims of Israeli aggression. The State Bank of Pakistan has been directed to open the necessary accounts, while Federal Minister for Planning, Ahsan Iqbal, will oversee the relief efforts.

Islamabad – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, while presiding over a meeting regarding Pakistan's ongoing relief efforts for Gaza and Palestine, called for national mobilization to assist Palestinian brothers suffering under Israeli military aggression.
The Prime Minister instructed that a detailed plan for Pakistan's aid program for Palestine be finalized within the next three days. He emphasized the inclusion of the country's leading NGOs in these relief activities, ensuring a coordinated and effective response.
Highlighting the importance of education, the Prime Minister directed authorities to offer educational facilities in Pakistan to as many students from Gaza as possible. He called for the active participation of educational institutions from both the public and private sectors in this humanitarian initiative.
During the briefing, it was revealed that since October 2023, Pakistan has sent ten consignments of aid to Palestine, amounting to 1,810 tons of medicines, food items, clothing, and other essential supplies.
The Prime Minister was also briefed that the government is in the process of repatriating 71 Pakistani citizens stranded in Lebanon, bringing them home via Damascus. Efforts are underway to ensure the safe return of more Pakistani citizens from conflict zones.

Islamabad – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with a delegation from the Pakistan Peoples Party, which included Member of the National Assembly Syed Naveed Qamar and Sindh Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Attaullah Tarar.
During the meeting, discussions focused on significant national and political issues. The role of President Asif Ali Zardari in the recent All Parties Conference and his contributions to the stability of democracy in the country were commended.
A detailed discussion also took place regarding the establishment of a joint working group for aid to Palestinians. The participation of all political parties in the All Parties Conference convened for Palestinian aid was seen as a positive development.
The meeting underscored that the entire Pakistani nation stands united to assist their defenseless Palestinian brothers and sisters who are suffering under Israeli oppression.
