Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi said on Sunday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has wanted to sabotage the forthcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in the country.
Addressing the press conference following the appearance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in the assembly, Naqvi stated: “We’ve got the video of Ali Amin Gandapur. It was confirmed after checking the video that Ali Amin Gandapur has departed.”
“The PTI was of the view to sacrifice the lives of people. The PTI has failed to fulfill their objectives,” he said.
“It is up to the president and prime minister to take the decisions regarding the current situation,” Naqvi maintained.
Lashing out at the PTI leadership, Naqvi added: “They [PTI leaders] themselves relax at their houses, leaving the workers to get arrested.” For insights on the recent developments concerning PTI protests, read more here.
