Senator Sherry Rehman, Vice President of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP), paid tribute to the martyrs of the Karsaz attack that took place on October 18, 2007. She stated that this day marked the historic return of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto to Pakistan after years of exile, and it was a symbol of her unwavering commitment to the restoration of democracy.

"On that day, the nation saw a new ray of hope for the revival of democracy after a long dictatorship," Sherry Rehman remarked. "The return of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto to her homeland was a testament that no obstacle could weaken her resolve on the journey to restore democracy."
