Turkey (Sub News): Multiple casualties have been reported following a suicide bombing outside an aerospace industries building in the vicinity of Ankara, the capital of Turkey. Officials from the Turkish Ministry of Interior confirmed that the explosion was a suicide attack. One attacker detonated explosives, while another opened fire on security forces.
There was an exchange of gunfire between the forces and the assailants for some time. Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated that the incident occurred outside the building of TUSAS, a Turkish aerospace and defense manufacturing company. A post on the social media platform X reported that several people were killed and injured in this incident. The factory is located 40 kilometers away from Ankara.
Haber Turk TV reported that gunfire followed a powerful explosion outside the complex. It remains unclear how many attackers were involved. NTV reported that following the explosion and gunfire, employees of the company were evacuated to safety.
Turkish media reports indicate that TUSAS is among the key institutions involved in defense equipment and armament in Turkey. Official statements now confirm that this incident is undoubtedly an act of terrorism.
