ISLAMABAD: Senior Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader and former opposition leader in the National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Ali Shah, hailed the approval of the 26th Constitutional Amendment as a "monumental achievement" for Pakistan's democratic and judicial systems. Speaking to reporters after the session, Shah praised the collective efforts of both the government and opposition for working together to pass the amendment.
He emphasized the importance of the amendment in bringing transparency to judicial appointments and reforms, calling it a much-needed step toward ensuring justice for all citizens. "The 26th Constitutional Amendment is a significant milestone in Pakistan's history, marking a new era of judicial reform and strengthening the rule of law," said Shah.
Shah also commended Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for his leadership, highlighting the crucial roles played by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan People's Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
