Former Pakistan cricket captain Babar Azam has achieved a significant honor as his bat, used in the 2022 T20 World Cup final, has been displayed in the prestigious long room of the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
The honor places Babar’s bat alongside those of cricket legends such as Don Bradman, Jack Hobbs, Brian Lara, and David Boon.
MCG officials reached out to Babar to donate his bat, a request he proudly accepted.
Reflecting on the gesture, Babar expressed his gratitude, saying, "It is an honor for me to have my bat in the long room here. I have many fond memories of the MCG. It is one of the best grounds, and it’s a privilege to see my bat displayed with those of the world’s great batsmen."
