Federal Minister for Information, Attaullah Tarar, has strongly reacted to PTI's Zaheer Abbas Khokhar for requesting an adjournment in the election tribunal case filed against him. Speaking on the matter, the minister stated that his legal team was fully prepared and had presented all required documents in court today.
“Our lawyers were fully prepared, with all documents ready, but the opposing party lacked any evidence or proof,” said the minister.
Attaullah Tarar accused Zaheer Abbas Khokhar of avoiding the legal process, claiming that Khokhar requested the court to postpone the hearing due to his inability to present evidence.
“If they had evidence, why did Zaheer Abbas Khokhar request an adjournment? If they are challenging my victory, why are they not ready to face the court?” the minister questioned.
He further criticized the frequent adjournment requests, stating, “They are wasting the tribunal’s time by repeatedly asking for delays. If they lack proof, they should admit their mistake in court.”
The minister also accused PTI of habitual misconduct, saying, “First they file cases, and then they run from the courts. This has become their standard practice.”
