During the National Youth Summit in Islamabad, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar extended a warm welcome to all participating delegates, commending the skilled and talented youth of Pakistan. He emphasized the significance of youth in nation-building, referencing the vision on which Pakistan was founded.
“Pakistan was established on the foundation of a dream. Allama Iqbal’s vision was brought to life by Quaid-e-Azam,” he said, adding that the youth of Pakistan joined hands with Quaid-e-Azam to achieve independence. "Our youth spread the slogan 'Pakistan ka matlab kya – La ilaha illallah' from village to village, reinforcing the nation's identity," he remarked.
Tarar further expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s dynamic youth, who, according to him, play a pivotal role in the country’s development and represent Pakistan on various forums. He noted, “Pakistani youth have the potential to shape the global landscape uniquely.”
Addressing the critical issue of climate change, Tarar highlighted the losses Pakistan has suffered and stressed the importance of empowering youth to meet these challenges. He stated, “Empowering our youth is the need of the hour, and the government is implementing various measures to facilitate this.”
Tarar also pointed out the government’s efforts towards strengthening the economy and disclosed that Pakistan has granted admissions to 200 Palestinian students in local institutions, reflecting Pakistan’s support for Palestine. Condemning the actions of Israel, he urged the international community to act against the genocide of Palestinians, reaffirming Pakistan’s support for the establishment of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders.
“The future of Pakistan is in safe hands, and no force can harm our nation,” he concluded, underscoring the resilience and dedication of the nation’s youth.
