On the occasion of the International Day to End Crimes Against Journalists, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq emphasized the importance of journalism as a core pillar of the state and a fundamental aspect of democracy.

Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has addressed the Supreme Judicial Commission regarding the formation of a judicial commission for appointing judges in the higher judiciary. The Speaker has officially nominated representatives from parliamentary parties in the National Assembly to participate in the commission.
From the National Assembly, Opposition Leader Mr. Omar Ayub Khan and MNA Sheikh Aftab Ahmed from PML (N) were nominated. From the Senate, Senator Farooq Naek and Senator Shibli Faraz were selected, along with Ms. Roshan Khursheed Bharucha as a female representative.
