Pakistan and Iran Condemn Israel’s Genocidal Actions, Vow to Strengthen Anti-Terror Collaboration
Pakistan and Iran condemn Israel's actions in Gaza, pledge to combat terrorism together, and emphasize their commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause.
Pakistan and Iran jointly condemned Israel’s military aggression in the Middle East, labeling its actions against civilians as genocidal. In a press briefing following their meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi criticized the international community for failing to intervene in Israel’s violations of international law and the UN Charter in occupied territories.
During the meeting, both sides highlighted the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza and reaffirmed the Palestinians' right to self-determination. Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s call for a sovereign Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital. He condemned Israel’s recent attacks on Iran, stressing Pakistan’s support for Iran’s sovereignty.
The two leaders also discussed strengthening bilateral ties in trade, energy, and border security. They pledged to coordinate efforts against terrorism and extremism, viewing these issues as grave threats to regional stability.
Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi acknowledged Pakistan’s firm stance on Israel’s aggression and praised the Pakistani government and people for their continued support for Gaza. He also warned of Israel’s continued aggression, especially its recent October 26th attack on Iran, emphasizing Iran’s right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter.
The ministers discussed enhancing cooperation in various sectors, including economic, political, cultural, and tourism, and reaffirmed their commitment to combat terrorism through collaboration. Foreign Minister Araghchi also invited Ishaq Dar to an official visit to Iran and the upcoming ECO ministerial meeting in Tehran.
