PM’s University Olympiad to Begin on November 21 in Islamabad

Chairman of the Prime Minister's Youth Program, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, announced the commencement of the Prime Minister’s University Olympiad, starting November 21 in Islamabad. He emphasized the government's commitment to creating a conducive environment and providing necessary facilities for the promotion of sports, including tennis, across Pakistan.
Speaking at the inauguration of the International Tennis Federation Junior League, Rana Mashhood praised Aisam-ul-Haq’s contributions to tennis, acknowledging his role in representing Pakistan on the global stage and projecting a positive image of the country. He highlighted the participation of players from 12 countries in the event as a promising development for Pakistan’s sports diplomacy.
Mashhood further stated that under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership, initiatives are being undertaken to restore sports in the country and provide opportunities for talented youth. The Prime Minister’s Youth Program will extend its support to the Tennis Federation for future endeavors and ensure that tennis is included in the Talent Hunt Sports initiative.
In addition, Mashhood announced that tennis would be part of upcoming editions of the University Olympiad. He expressed optimism about the nation’s progress, citing improvements in Pakistan’s economy, a record-breaking 95,000 points in the stock exchange, reduced inflation, and increased remittances. Foreign investments are also returning to Pakistan, reflecting the country’s brighter future under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership.
