Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held an important bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Denmark, H.E. Mette Frederiksen, on the sidelines of the COP 29 Climate Action Summit in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The meeting focused on strengthening the bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Denmark, particularly in key sectors such as political, trade and investment, agriculture, information technology, and climate change. Both leaders emphasized the significance of green transition and infrastructural development in their discussions.
During the meeting, both sides agreed on the necessity of enhancing bilateral cooperation and building a global consensus to address climate change priorities, stressing the urgent need to safeguard the planet from its harmful impacts.
Reflecting on the 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif underscored the importance of expanding economic ties through collaborative partnerships. The Danish Prime Minister, H.E. Mette Frederiksen, expressed Denmark’s readiness to work closely with Pakistan to further strengthen economic relations and tackle regional and global issues of mutual concern.
