The Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has emphasized the importance of children as a valuable asset for the nation. He highlighted that the bright future of any nation lies in its children and that ensuring their quality education, proper upbringing, and protection of their rights is a collective responsibility.
Speaking on the occasion of Universal Children’s Day, the Speaker stated, “Under the Constitution of Pakistan, it is the government's duty to provide free education to all children aged five to sixteen without any discrimination.”
He reaffirmed Parliament’s commitment to safeguarding children’s rights through effective legislation and applauded the active role of the Parliamentary Caucus on Child Rights in promoting children’s welfare and well-being.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq further emphasized, “Protecting children’s rights is essential to brighten our today, tomorrow, and future. All stakeholders must play a positive role in ensuring quality education and proper upbringing of children.”
He also urged parents to actively participate in the ongoing polio campaign to protect their children from disabilities.

Speaker National Assembly Condemns Attack on Security Checkpost in Bannu
Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a security checkpost in the Malikhel area of Bannu. Expressing deep sorrow over the loss of 12 valiant personnel from the security forces and Frontier Constabulary, the Speaker extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs.
He lauded the security forces for successfully repelling the attack and eliminating six militants. “The sacrifices of our brave soldiers in the fight against terrorism are unforgettable,” stated Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
The Speaker emphasized that the nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its security forces in the war against terrorism. “These cowardly acts of militants cannot weaken our determination to eradicate terrorism,” he added.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq reiterated the commitment to continue operations against militants until the complete elimination of terrorism from Pakistan. He prayed for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and strength for their families to bear the loss.
