Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, the senior-most judge of the Supreme Court, has stepped down from his role as the administrative judge of the apex court.
The decision surfaced when Justice Shah declined to sign routine administrative files sent to him for approval.
According to sources, Justice Shah returned the files, stating he had retired from his duties as an administrative judge.
Justice Mansoor Ali Shah was appointed to this role by former chief justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa. His tenure saw him handling critical administrative responsibilities of the Supreme Court.
