PM directs strict action against rioters who damaged property in Islamabad
Shehbaz stresses won't allow any conspiracy to sabotage stabilizing economy by spreading unrest

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated the government's resolve to maintain law and order, directing authorities to take strict action against those involved in riots, vandalism, and damaging government and private property.
Chairing a high-level meeting to review the law and order situation on Monday, Shehbaz warned against conspiracies aimed at destabilizing the recovering economy through chaos. He emphasized, “We will not allow any conspiracy to sabotage the stabilizing economy by spreading unrest.”
He recalled that through riots and vandalism, government and private properties in Islamabad were damaged, ordering that measures be taken to take strict action against those responsible. The PM instructed law enforcement agencies to ensure that no innocent citizens were arrested during the crackdown on those responsible for spreading chaos.
He also called for an effective process to identify suspects and collect concrete evidence against them to ensure accountability.
Shehbaz directed the provision of all necessary resources to the task force established to address corruption and disorder. He also instructed that the Federal Prosecution Service be brought under the Ministry of Law to streamline legal proceedings against offenders.
PM Shehbaz ordered the expedited construction of Islamabad Jail, instructing immediate release of funds to complete the project.
The meeting was attended by federal ministers Ahad Cheema, Mohsin Naqvi, Azam Nazir Tarar, Attaullah Tarar, and senior officials.
