A solemn ceremony of the changing of the guards was held on Monday at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, marking the 148th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation.
A smart and disciplined contingent of the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul assumed ceremonial guard duties, replacing the outgoing guards amidst a dignified display of precision and respect.
Ceremony Details
The ceremony held early in the morning, was attended by senior officials, including PMA Commandant Major General Iftikhar Hassan Chaudhry (Hilal-e-Imtiaz Military). Major General Chaudhry paid homage to the Quaid by saluting the mausoleum, laying a floral wreath, and offering Fateha.
He then recorded his reflections in the guest book, emphasising the enduring relevance of Jinnah’s principles of unity, faith, and discipline.
