PTI to Reveal Civil Disobedience Movement Details Tomorrow
In an exclusive statement, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram has announced that the party will reveal the details of its civil disobedience movement tomorrow. According to the spokesperson, the movement will be carried out in multiple phases.
Sheikh Waqas clarified that the details of the movement, which were initially scheduled to be disclosed after the Martyrs' Day gathering, will now be shared following the ceremony, which is now set to take place on December 15 in Peshawar. He emphasized that the gathering will be a prayer ceremony with no political decisions being made.
"After the prayer ceremony, efforts are underway to convene a meeting of the seven founding leaders of PTI to finalize the strategies for the civil disobedience movement," said Sheikh Waqas. "The phases of the movement will be unveiled after this gathering."
In response to recent comments made by Khawaja Asif on Samaa TV, Sheikh Waqas denied that PTI had approached anyone for negotiations, stating, "We have not and will not request talks." However, he acknowledged that PTI founder Imran Khan had formed a committee that is open to dialogue with all stakeholders.
Sheikh Waqas also addressed accusations regarding Imran Khan's stance on the army, emphasizing that he holds no animosity toward the military. "The founding chairman has never said anything against the army or incited hatred. He says this army is ours, and this country is ours," he stated firmly.
The spokesperson further remarked that the founding PTI chairman is supported by his family, including his sisters, Bushra Bibi, and "the country's children", dismissing criticisms from political opponents. He advised Khawaja Asif to "worry about his own home" instead of making baseless accusations.
