Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif arrived in Guangzhou, China, where she met with Vice Governor Zheng Guozhi. The visit aims to bolster bilateral cooperation between Punjab and the Chinese province, focusing on economic and cultural exchanges.
During her meeting with Vice Governor Zheng Guozhi, discussions centered on enhancing trade, education, and technological collaboration. Both leaders expressed their commitment to fostering a strong partnership to benefit their respective regions.
In a separate development, a cabinet committee meeting was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar to address the stabilization of fertilizer prices. The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Secretary Petroleum, and key representatives from industries, commerce, and gas companies.
The committee reviewed the current prices, stock levels, and availability of fertilizer in the market. Expressing satisfaction with the stability in fertilizer and gas prices, the committee directed the fertilizer industry to ensure adequate gas supply for the Rabi crop and maintain stable pricing.
