Security forces kill 8 Khwarij, two soldiers martyred in KP operations
Sanitisation operations continue in region to eliminate any remaining Khwarij
Security Forces killed eight Khwarij, while two Army jawans, including Captain Muhammad Zohaibuddin, embraced martyrdom in a gunfight during the past 24 hours in separate operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation took place on November 30, 2024, in Baka Khel, Bannu District, following intelligence reports of Khwarij activity in the area.
The security forces targeted the Khwarij location, killing five militants and injuring nine others. Sepoy Iftikhar Hussain, aged 29 from District Jhang, was martyred during the exchange of fire.
In a second operation, conducted in the Shagai area of Khyber District, three Khwarij were killed and two were captured.
During the intense firefight, Captain Muhammad Zohaibuddin, aged 25 from Lahore, who was leading his troops, embraced martyrdom. These militants were involved in multiple terrorist activities against both security forces and civilians.
Sanitisation operations continued in the region to eliminate any remaining Khwarij.
The security forces are determined to eradicate terrorism from Pakistan, with these sacrifices further solidifying their resolve.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for their efforts in fighting terrorism.
Both PM Shehbaz and Naqvi also offered condolences to the family of Captain Zohaibuddin.
The premier said that Captain Zohaibuddin's sacrifice would be remembered in history.
