Federal Minister and President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Muqam, has strongly condemned the use of force, including baton charges and tear gas, against peacefully protesting local representatives in Peshawar.
Amir Muqam declared, “Local representatives are the true voice of the people and the foundation of democracy. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government's undemocratic actions demonstrate their failure to address the genuine demands of the elected representatives.”
He further criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, accusing it of hypocrisy. “PTI feigns victimhood in the center while crushing democratic values in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he remarked.
The minister demanded immediate resolution of the grievances of local representatives and reaffirmed PML-N's commitment to supporting their rights across all forums.

Federal Minister and PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Engineer Amir Muqam criticized the PTI-led provincial government for its failure to address the basic needs of the people.
“The PTI government, after eleven years in power, has left Khyber Pakhtunkhwa economically crippled,” Muqam stated. “Those who cannot run schools or manage a simple bus service have proven unfit to govern a province.”
He accused PTI of diverting resources and suppressing the legitimate demands of local representatives through force. “PTI’s governance is a tale of corruption and incompetence,” he remarked.
