Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal emphasized on Friday that Pakistan will no longer allow anarchy to prevail. Speaking at various forums, he underscored the country's potential and the pressing need for unity to drive economic growth.

“No country is richer than Pakistan, but anarchy, unrest, and political instability have let the country down,” stated Iqbal. He stressed that the nation cannot afford further "negative experiments" and must focus on stability and progress.

Uraan Pakistan Initiative

Iqbal highlighted the "Uraan Pakistan" initiative as a pivotal project, describing it as a "game-changer" for the country. “Everybody needs to get united to give the country's economy a new takeoff," he said, acknowledging the country's vast wealth of resources and the need for collective efforts to harness them effectively.

Focus on Digital and Economic Growth

Appearing on Samaa TV’s "Nadeem Malik Live," the minister spoke about the government’s plans to expand fibre optic infrastructure to improve internet speeds and digitize the power sector further. He emphasized the importance of facilitating exports and maintaining stability in economic policies.

Iqbal remarked, “Our big companies are earning more. So what do they have to move abroad? Now, there should be held only one long march in the country, which is the economic parade.”

He also pointed out the significant strides in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other technological advancements, noting the collaborative efforts of the establishment, judiciary, and government in fostering progress.

Vision for a Stable Pakistan

Reflecting on past challenges, Iqbal lamented the sabotage of Vision 2025 due to political chaos in 2018. However, he expressed optimism, stating, “The country can propel to prosperity if the stability and policies remain intact for the next 10 years.”

Iqbal concluded by urging all stakeholders to adopt a performance-based narrative and focus on long-term national development.
