 A renowned businessman, Shabbir Merchant, has been elected as the new Chairman of the Pakistan Business Council Dubai.

The announcement of the new Chairman and Board of Directors was made in the presence of the Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, H.E. Hussain Mohammed, along with other members of the Pakistan Business Council Dubai.

The Chief guest ,Consul General ,H.E. Mr Hussain Muhammad extended his heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing board of the directors and congratulated the newly elected Board .

“ The PBC serves as a Dynamic platform for fostering trade , investment and collaboration between Pakistan and the UAE ,” Consul General said . 

The newly elected Board of PBC Directors for the term 2025-2026:

1. Mr. Shabbir Merchant

2. Mr. Noor Karim Afridi

3. Mr. Iftikhar Ali Tatlah

4. Mr. Saleem Zakaria

5. Mr. Kamran Ahmed Riaz

6. Mr. Khurram Khawaja

7. Mr. Umer Shehzad.

The newly elected Board of Directors expressed their commitment to implementing significant changes at PBC Dubai within six months. Their plans include increasing membership, enhancing networking opportunities, promoting a positive image of Pakistan, and strengthening business relations between Pakistan and the UAE.
