Addressing the Education Crisis in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The Parliamentary Caucus on Child Rights (PCCR) is conducting a Provincial Consultation on Out-of-School Children (OOSC) in Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on March 13, 2025. This high-level session aims to assess the challenges preventing children from accessing education and develop policy-driven solutions for universal, inclusive, and quality education.
This consultation is part of a nationwide initiative that began in January 2025 with a National Convention and Orientation in Islamabad, followed by provincial engagements in Sindh. The next consultations are planned in Balochistan and Punjab to formulate a comprehensive national strategy on OOSC.

Education as a National Emergency
Dr. Nikhat Shakeel Khan emphasized the urgency of treating education as a national emergency and called for multi-stakeholder collaboration to resolve the crisis. A special acknowledgment was given to Dr. Shaista Jadoon Khan (MNA) for her dedicated efforts in making this consultation possible.
