High-Level Security Measures Implemented for Crucial Meeting
Extraordinary security arrangements have been enforced at the Parliament House and its surrounding areas ahead of the in-camera meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security. Senior government and military leadership will participate in the meeting to deliberate on the country’s overall security situation.
According to the National Assembly spokesperson, all parliamentary leaders of political parties, along with their designated representatives, are expected to attend the crucial session. During the meeting, the military leadership will provide a comprehensive briefing on security challenges and the measures taken to address them.
Stringent Security Protocols in Place
To ensure security during the meeting, law enforcement agencies have been placed on high alert, and strict security protocols have been implemented within and around the Parliament House. The meeting will be held in-camera, restricting access to media personnel and unauthorized individuals.
Additionally, press cards issued to media personnel will be rendered ineffective on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Entry into the Parliament premises will be restricted, and attendees will not be allowed to carry mobile phones inside the National Assembly Hall during the session.
