How to Apply for Punjab Aghosh Program

Women can register for the program by visiting designated health facilities across Punjab. The steps include:

  1. Visit a Health Facility:
    • Nearest Basic Health Unit (BHU), Rural Health Center (RHC), THQ, or DHQ.
  2. Consult a Health Worker:
    • Meet a Lady Health Visitor (LHV) or other registered health provider.
  3. Submit Required Documents:
    • Provide CNIC, proof of residence, and maternity records.
  4. Electronic Registration:
    • The health worker will register the applicant through the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  5. Receive Confirmation:
    • Applicants will receive an SMS notification upon successful registration.

Financial Assistance Breakdown

The Aghosh Program provides phased financial support to ensure continuous medical care for both mothers and infants:

  1. Registration:
    • Rs 2,000 upon initial registration at a government health facility.
  2. Antenatal Check-ups:
    • Rs 1,500 for each check-up in the 3rd, 6th, 7th, and 9th months of pregnancy (Total: Rs 6,000).
  3. Delivery at a Government Hospital:
    • Rs 4,000 for delivering at a public hospital.
  4. Postnatal and Newborn Care:
    • Rs 2,000 for the first check-up of the newborn within 15 days.
    • Rs 2,000 each for the first and second measles vaccinations (Total: Rs 4,000).
  5. Birth Registration:
    • Rs 5,000 for registering the child’s B-Form/CRC with NADRA.
