China Mobile Delegation Reaffirms Digital Innovation Partnership with Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – A high-level delegation from China Mobile Communications Corporation (CMCC), led by Chairman Mr. Yang Jie, visited the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) in Islamabad today, where they met with the Federal Minister for IT & Telecommunication, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja. The meeting highlighted Pakistan-China cooperation in the field of digital innovation and connectivity, under the strategic umbrella of CPEC and Pakistan’s Digital Vision.
Strengthening Bilateral Tech Collaboration

These initiatives are part of Pakistan’s broader digital roadmap to:

Increase smartphone penetration to over 85%

Federal Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja welcomed the CMCC delegation and expressed gratitude for their continued investment in Pakistan’s digital sector. She emphasized that such partnerships are critical in enhancing infrastructure, innovation, and inclusive digital access.
