Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep satisfaction over the recent economic performance of the country, particularly highlighting the significant decline in the Sensitive Price Index (SPI).
According to official statistics, the SPI in April 2025 dropped to -3.52%, compared to a staggering 26.94% during the same month in 2024. The Prime Minister termed this shift a sign of the economy moving in the right direction.
“Pakistan’s economic indicators are improving with every passing day,” the Prime Minister said. “It is our government’s unwavering commitment to ensure that the benefits of this economic progress reach the people.”
He appreciated the efforts of the economic team, calling them the driving force behind the positive change. The Prime Minister emphasized that his administration remains focused on providing financial relief and stability to the citizens of Pakistan.
